In college, I had a serious boyfriend and always had the idea that I would be married young, have kids young and live the fairytale I created in my mind. When that plan came crashing down, I decided to focus on my career and other people’s happily ever afters.

For years, I was part of many weddings, which included engagement parties, dress shopping, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and day-of wedding set-up, planning, and everything in between! Although at times it was stressful and expensive, I enjoyed being apart of all the festivities! I loved all the planning and seeing the joy of my work come to life!

My first real big event was my sister’s wedding. My sister Cathy and her then boyfriend Steven met in college and the three of us became very close. We were like the 3 musketeers so naturally I helped with the proposal and wanted to be part of every aspect of planning the wedding. Once they set the date and picked out a venue, Steven said “okay can we turn this over to Christina now?” and I knew I would be taking charge to plan the best day of their lives.

The entire process was overwhelming, exciting, fun, stressful, exhausting, and rewarding all in one! I knew I had discovered a new passion. That same year, I was in my cousin’s wedding and maid of honor in a friend’s wedding. I was in planning overload and loved every second of it.

The fun did not stop there…with many other weddings and celebrations…it continued and after a while I started to feel like Katherine Heigl in 27 dresses! I began to re-imagine my own fairytale and I started to focus more on my career and step away from planning…until my new life plan was turned upside down and I met my own prince charming…
